Deep Peace - adaptation from Ancient Gaelic Runes & a 'Healing Blessing' by Alan Dall (a blind poet)

Deep peace of the running waves to you.
Deep peace of the quiet ground to you.
Deep peace of the flowing air to you,
And deep peace of the shining stars to you.
Sun, Moon, and Stars pour their healing light upon you.
Deep Peace to you.

Scientific Healing Affirmations - Paramahansa Yogananda (author of 'Autobiography of a Yogi')

O Father, I want prosperity, health, and wisdom
without measure,
not from earthly sources
but from Your all-powerful, all-bountiful hands.

Since Your indelible image of perfection is in me,
teach me to wipe away the superficial
stains of ignorance
and see that You and I are One.

God! God! God! - Paramahansa Yogananda (author of 'Autobiography of a Yogi')

From the depths of slumber,
As I ascend the spiral stairway of wakefulness,
I whisper:
God! God! God!

Thou art the food, and when I break my fast,
Of nightly separation from Thee,
I taste Thee, and mentally say:
God! God! God!

No matter where I go, the spotlight of my mind
Ever keeps turning on Thee,
And in the battle din of activity my silent war cry is ever:
God! God! God!

When boisterous storms of trials shriek
And worries howl at me,
I drown their noises, loudly chanting:
God! God! God!

When my mind weaves dreams
With threads of memories,
On that magic cloth I do emboss:
God! God! God!

Every night, in time of deepest sleep
My peace dreams and calls: Joy! Joy! Joy!
And my joy comes singing evermore
God! God! God!

In waking, eating, working, dreaming, sleeping,
Serving, meditating, chanting, divinely loving,
My soul constantly hums, unheard by any
God! God! God!

When Love Beckons - Kahlil Gibran

When love beckons to you, follow him Though his ways are hard and steep.
And when his wings enfold you yield to him, Though the sword hidden among his pinions may wound you.
And when he speaks to you believe in him, Though his voice may shatter your dreams as the north wind lays waste the garden.
For even as love crowns you so shall he crucify you.
Even as he is for your growth so he is for your pruning.
Even as he ascends to your height and caresses your tenderest branches that quiver in the sun,
So shall he descend to your roots and shake them in their clinging to the earth.

Do and Dare What is Right - Pastor Dietrich Bonhoeffer

Do and dare what is right, not swayed by the whim of the moment.
Bravely take hold of the real, not dallying now with what might be.

Not in the flight of ideas but only in action is freedom.
Make up your mind and come out into the tempest of living.

God’s command is enough, and your faith in him to sustain you.
Then at last freedom will welcome your spirit amid great rejoicing.

Prayer for Life's Journeys

May we know that it is the journey that is important. May we find our own truths and the divine within ourselves and in doing so help our fellow travelers to find their own. May we see each other through spirit and not through worldly eyes. Namaste

Strong in Spirit - Abby Willowroot

Make me strong in spirit,
Courageous in action,
Gentle of heart.

Let me act in wisdom,
Conquer my fear and doubt,
Discover my own hidden gifts.

Meet others with compassion,
Be a source of healing energies,
And face each day with hope and joy.

On Beloved Mother Nature - Mealtime Prayer

OM Beloved Mother Nature
You are here, everywhere around us
You are endlessly bountiful, benefactress of all.
Please grant us health and strength, wisdom and dispassion,
To find permanent Peace and Joy,
And to share this Peace and Joy with one and all.

Mother Nature is my mother,
My father is the Lord of all,
The whole creation is my family.
The entire universe is my home.

I offer this unto OM That Truth which is Universal.

May the entire universe be filled with Peace and Joy, Love and Light.

May the Light of Truth overcome all darkness!

Victory to that Light!

To Pray Without Ceasing - Martin Exeter

Whatever arises,
Let me dwell
in the secret place of the Most High.
Let there be a place of stillness in the midst of turmoil.
Let there be a place of ease amid disease.
Let there be a place of order in the chaos.
Let there be a place of love and beauty
in the midst of fear and ugliness.
Let my presence
be a beacon of enfolding radiance
In every circumstance.

Surrender My Striving - Marianne Williamson

Help me to surrender my striving,
To let go all need to effort or to struggle,
To relax deeply into things exactly as they are,
To accept life, that it might move through me
with grace.

Vande Gurunam - Ancient Sanskrit Prayer

vande gurunam caranaravinde
sandarsita svatmasukhava bodhe
nisreyase jangalikayamane
samsara halahala mohasantyai

abahu purusakaram
sankhacakrasi dharinam
sahasra sirasam svetam
pranamani patanjalim.

om

I bow to the lotus feet of the guru
Who awakens insight into the happiness of pure Being
Who is the refuge, the jungle physician
Who eliminates the delusion caused by the poisonous herb of samsara (conditioned existence).

I prostrate before the sage Patanjali
Who has thousands of radiant, white heads
(in his form as the divine serpent, Ananta)
and who has, as far as his arms, assumed the form of a man
holding a conch shell (divine sound)
a wheel (discus of light, representing infinite time)
and a sword (discrimination).

om

Unanswered Prayers - Mary Manin Morrissey

Having our prayers answered is not
so much about
receiving what we desire
as recognizing a greater good.
A disease may not be cured, financial challenges may persist, a relationship that ended
may not be recaptured.
Prayer is answered not so much
by our getting what we want,
but in the way we access, touch and find
a relationship with God, that transforms us.
If you feel that one of your prayers is
going unanswered, might there be something else that God has to offer you?

If You're Seeking Miracles - Ancient Sanskrit Poem

If you’re seeking miracles,
Be wise in where you search.
You’ll find what you seek in the Human Heart,
Not temple, mosque, or church.

So you’re better off than others,
But are you satisfied.
Cause satisfaction is found in the Human Heart
And not in human pride.

Have you heard the music
That even the deaf can hear
Cause this music is heard in the Human Heart
And not the human ear.

Even the sightless see the splendor
Of heaven shining bright
Because heaven is seen with the Human Heart,
And not with human sight.

Will you be waiting for redemption
When you’re taking your last breath.
Because redemption awaits in the Human Heart,
And not in human death.

So if you understand my meaning
I’m sure that you will find
That you know it in your Human Heart
And not your human mind.
